Chapter 01
How AIP works
AIP is different from Express Entry and PNP in one crucial way — it starts with a job offer from a designated employer, not with your profile. Designated employers in Atlantic Canada actively recruit for AIP because it lets them fill roles that domestic recruitment cannot fill.
Once the designated employer issues you a genuine job offer and endorses your endorsement letter with the province, you file a permanent residence application to IRCC. Because the program is community-integration focused, you also complete a settlement plan with a designated settlement service provider.
