1. Who we are

Mark Consultant is the brand name of MCO Immigration Services Pvt. Ltd., an immigration and overseas education consultancy registered in Pune, Maharashtra, India, serving clients across Pune and Pan-India since 2016.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through markconsultant.in and through our offices, why we collect it, how we protect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. It applies to every visitor, enquirer and client.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that is necessary to assess your profile and deliver the service you have asked for.

• Identity and contact data: full name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, city and country of residence
• Profile data: age, marital status, highest education, work experience, occupation, English test scores, nomination status and other answers you provide to our eligibility calculators
• Application data: résumé or CV, passport details, academic transcripts, employment letters, financial documents and previous visa history, where you choose to share them for a case
• Service data: the country and visa category you are interested in, the page you enquired from, your enquiry history and communications with our counsellors
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, referring page and pages visited, collected through standard web logs and analytics

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. How we use your information

Your information is used strictly for legitimate service purposes, including:

• Assessing your eligibility and generating your PR points or ATS résumé score
• Preparing, reviewing and submitting applications to authorities, universities or employers on your instruction
• Contacting you by phone, email or WhatsApp about your enquiry, case status and required documents
• Providing coaching, admission and job-assistance services you have signed up for
• Sending relevant policy updates, intake deadlines and offers — which you may opt out of at any time
• Improving our website content, tools and service quality, and meeting our legal and accounting obligations

We never sell your personal data, and we never share your documents with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

4. Our AI-powered tools

Our free PR eligibility calculator and ATS résumé scanner use automated AI processing to generate an indicative score and improvement suggestions.

When you use these tools, the résumé file or profile answers you submit are transmitted to a secure AI processing service solely to produce your result, and the result is stored against your enquiry so our counsellors can advise you. This content is not used to train public AI models by us.

Uploaded résumés and generated documents are held in private, encrypted storage. They are never publicly accessible, and download links are short-lived and unique to your order.

5. Why we are allowed to process your data

We process personal data on the basis of your consent (given when you submit a form or upload a document), the performance of the service contract between us, our legitimate interest in operating and improving our consultancy, and compliance with Indian legal and tax requirements.

You are never obliged to share information with us — but if you choose not to, we may be unable to assess your profile or process your application.

6. When we share your information

We share your information only when it is necessary to deliver the service, and only to the extent required:

• Government departments, embassies, consulates and visa application centres, for your application
• Universities, colleges and admission partners, where you have asked us to apply on your behalf
• Overseas employers and recruitment partners, where you have consented to a job application
• Language test bodies, credential evaluators, medical panels and police clearance authorities
• Trusted service providers such as our hosting, database, email, analytics and payment partners, who process data on our instructions only
• Legal, accounting and regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required by law

We require every partner and vendor to keep your data confidential and to use it only for the agreed purpose.

7. How we protect your data

The website is served over encrypted HTTPS. Lead records, calculator submissions and résumé orders are stored in a managed database that is not readable from the public internet — all access happens through our secured backend, and administrative dashboards are protected by a private passcode.

Résumé files sit in private storage buckets with no public access; downloads are only ever issued as short-lived signed links tied to your own order token.

Internally, access to client files is limited to the counsellors and case officers working on your matter, and our staff are bound by confidentiality obligations. No system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we review our controls regularly and act promptly on any issue we identify.

8. How long we keep your data

Enquiry and assessment records are retained for up to three years so we can advise you if you return or if policy changes affect your profile.

Client case files, invoices and supporting documents are retained for as long as required to service your case and thereafter for the period mandated by Indian tax and record-keeping law.

When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. You may ask us to delete your data earlier — see your rights below.

9. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and request a copy of it
• Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
• Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal retention duties
• Object to or restrict processing for marketing purposes
• Unsubscribe from promotional emails or WhatsApp updates at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email info@markconsultant.in from your registered email address. We respond to genuine requests within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity first.

10. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly, remember your preferences, and understand which pages and country guides are most useful.

Analytics data is aggregated and used only to improve the website. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less smoothly.

11. Third-party websites

Our pages link to government portals, university sites, test providers and job boards. Once you leave markconsultant.in, this policy no longer applies — please read the privacy policy of the website you visit.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or the law. The revised version takes effect from the date shown at the top of this page, and material changes will be highlighted on the website.

13. Grievance and contact
